Established in 1991, The Imaginative Traveller has grown steadily to become one of the world's leading operators of small group adventure tours. Our aim has always been to provide exceptional travel experiences. We believe that travel should be stimulating, and that it should give you an authentic experience of a place. We want our travellers to relish the amazing diversity of countries and cultures the world has to offer. Our focus is on innovation, not imitation. Right from the very start The Imaginative Traveller has been built upon partnerships between ourselves and suppliers in the countries where we operate. Our partners on the ground are from the local community - in many countries the partnerships we have established are as old as the company itself. Our view is that the destination must benefit from our presence. We source all our supplies locally and a high percentage of our staff are recruited locally. This level of local input ensures our trips are run responsibly with the local communities in mind.
